Charles Walsh became affiliated with Flink Smith in 2004, on an “of counsel” basis, when the firm opened its Lake Placid office.  Prior to that time, Charley had practiced law for over 30 years in the Northern Adirondacks, developing a reputation as one of the area’s foremost general practitioners, handling business, real estate and other commercial matters, including the representation of numerous amateur and professional athletes and sporting organizations.  More recently, Charley had begun to refer various matters to Ed Flink and his firm.  As Charley became increasingly comfortable in having Flink Smith represent his clients, and he and Ed worked together on these matters, Charley encouraged Flink Smith to open a Lake Placid office.  After Charley introduced Ed to Favor Smith, the three of them soon thereafter teamed up to bring to the North Country a true full service firm, but with home town roots.

Charley graduated from Syracuse University (B.A.) in 1967 and Hastings College of the Law. (J.D.) in 1972.  He was admitted to practice in all the courts of the state in 1973.  Also in that year, he was admitted to practice in the Northern and Eastern District federal courts.

As those who know Charley can attest, he prides himself on his ability to assess a situation quickly, and he continues to offer insight, experience and expertise to his clients and friends in helping determine the best course of action to pursue in any given situation.  These days, Charley limits his time to the intake and evaluation of cases, and to offering his perspective and assistance to the attorney at Flink Smith to whom he and Ed decide the matters should be entrusted.
