Jennifer Dominelli Lecakes has been affiliated with Ed Flink since serving as a law clerk with Ed during the period from 1996-1998, while she was attending law school.  Jennifer became an associate upon graduation in 1998 and has worked continuously with the firm since that time.  In 2005, Jennifer became a member of Flink Smith, and became the firm’s managing partner in 2009.

Jennifer is a 1995 magna cum laude graduate of Union College in Schenectady, New York and a 1998 cum laude graduate of Albany Law School of Union University. Upon graduation from law school, Jennifer was presented the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Family Law. She is admitted to practice in all New York State Courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.    

From when Jennifer first started to work with Ed and Jay, she has had the opportunity to work on the entire array of legal matters presented by the firm’s clients, practicing as both a litigator in the firm’s insurance defense practice, and working on business and real estate transactions for the firm’s and her own quickly growing client base.  Also from the outset, Jennifer has followed her interest in matrimonial and family law and developed an expertise in the representation of people needing skilled and compassionate guidance in difficult situations.  At the current time, Jennifer concentrates her practice in the areas of personal injury litigation, with an emphasis on toxic tort matters, and in matrimonial and family law and real estate.  Jennifer also serves as general counsel to several business people and entities.

Jennifer is a member of the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law and Family Law Sections of the New York State Bar Association. Jennifer is an active volunteer with Union College, participating as a class agent with the College's Annual Fund. Jennifer currently serves on the Board of Directors of the not-for-profit organization Joan Nicole Prince Home, which provides 24 hour beside care for two residents at a time in a homelike environment. Jennifer enjoys competitive ballroom dancing and currently serves as an officer of the Capital District Chapter of USA Dance, Inc.
