Aaron R. Anderson has been affiliated with Flink Smith LLC on an “of counsel” since 2000, also maintaining his own general practice. Aaron joined Ed and Jay as an associate with Edward Flink and Associates in 1998, being recruited to that firm by Jay who knew Aaron well as a result of both of them having worked for the same Capital District firm. Aaron began his legal career as an assistant district attorney for the Chemung County District Attorney’s Office, where he spent almost three years before working with another firm for five years as an associate
Aaron is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton (1987) and Albany Law School of Union University (1990). Aaron is admitted to practice before all New York State Courts and U. S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Federal Claims.
In his 15 years of practice, Aaron has worked primarily in the fields of criminal and vehicle and traffic law defense, civil litigation including plaintiffs’ and defense personal injury, matrimonial and family law, real estate, bankruptcy and trusts and estates. He is a seasoned trial lawyer, representing clients in actions involving personal injury, criminal prosecutions, matrimonial and family law disputes. Aaron brings these diverse skills to Flink Smith where he is active in the firm’s insurance defense practice as well as these various practice areas. Aaron is a member of the New York State Bar Association and New York State Trial Lawyers Association. At this point in his life, Aaron’s focus is his children, and he is actively involved in his three young children’s sports and school activities. He especially enjoys coaching his sons’ T-ball and little league teams. He is also active with the Schenectady Catholic Schools and the Union College Learn to Skate Program.
