Jay A. Smith was engaged by Lorman Educational Services to lecture attorneys and paralegal professionals on Motion Law: From Basic To Advanced Procedures In New York. This day long session on June 21, 2006 was endorsed as providing 7 hours of continuing legal education for New York attorneys as well as 1 hour of ethics and professionalism.  Rob Coughlin was the Program Chair for a New York State Bar Association program in Albany, New York.  The program, entitled “The Examination Before Trial – A Primer On Depositions In Tort And Personal Injury Cases” was sponsored by the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section, Young Lawyers Section and the Committee on Continuing Legal Education of the New York State Bar Association.  This was a full day seminar.     Edward B. Flink was honored with the Leach Award at the New York State Bar Association Annual Meeting. The Leach award is given by the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section of the New York State Bar Association to a member of the section to recognize outstanding service and distinguished contributions to the legal profession.
